I love being a mommy:)
Nobody ever told me that once you have a child, all of a sudden you become all grown up... All of a sudden I think about things like gardening, sewing, crafting, and being frugal with money. Just a year ago the only things I thought about were shopping, being outside constantly, and hanging out with friends...and maybe carving a pumpkin and doing a few scrapbook pages or cards sometimes!
But, I love my new life!

Big Boy Now
A few weeks ago we went to Denver to surprise Will's grandma as well as go rock climbing. Micah seemed comfortable...
I just love this hat from Peru (Will's friend from school gave it to us when I was pregnant) so I had to share it with you...
I admit...I took a half day at work just because it was so nice out and I wanted to take Micah outside. We went and watched cousin Jacob play highschool soccer. This is cousin Maggie holding Micah. She helps Auntie Anne babysit Micah three days a week. She just LOVES him!
Micah has two teeth on the bottom! (hence the constant drool!)
Over spring break I babysat my sister and cousin. They were bored at my house so I gave them my cameras. Here is a cute picture of Micah they took with his Easter frog.
Micah is a big boy now! He can sit all by himself for quite awhile. I figured he would roll from his tummy to his back before he would start sitting up but I guess not! He still only rolls from his back to tummy.
Nothing else is new that I can think of. TTFN!

A Tooth and Easter Blessings...
Micah has had a "cold" for about a week and a half. Well, it wasn't getting better and he started sounding really hoarse so yesterday I took him to the doctor. Come to find out...he has a little white tooth popping out!!! Supposedly teething causes sinus drainage, which in turn causes a sore throat. Who knew? Better safe than sorry! We are headed to Denver today to visit the grandparents. Hopefully he won't be too fussy from this little tooth! He seems pretty happy today though so it should go good! Happy Easter to Everybody! Love you all!!!!

April Fool's!
I got tricked twice today, and both times it was by a first grader!
1. "Your shoe is unbuckled!" Of course I fell for it and looked down!
2. student: "What is your name?
me: "Mrs. Gardner"
student: "what's this? (touches her nose)
me: "nose"
student: "what's in my hands?" (holds open her hands)
me: "nothing"
student: "tee-hee-hee!!!!"
Even though it was a day early, Will played a great joke on the Tattoo shop yesterday. We decided to go indulge at ColdStone, which is right next to the Tattoo/Piercing store. Will said, let's go see what they say when we ask how much it costs to get Micah a tattoo! So, we walked in and Will said, "Hi, we were curious how much it costs for a tattoo?" The guy replied, "It depends on what size you want." Will said, "Well, nothing too big because it's just for him" (pointing to Micah). WIth a look of utter disbelief, the guy scolded back, "We don't tattoo ANYONE under the age of 13!" Will, keeping his calm, stated, "Well, we just wanted to tattoo our phone number just in case he gets lost or something." A couple seconds of blank stares, Will and I finally started laughing! They thought it was pretty amusing as well!
Well, the snow has been coming down all day today...
And, ANOTHER friend having a baby BOY! Congrats Shelly! Where are all the girls lately!?!

Real Food!
Micah had cereal for the first time tonight! I was so worried that he would just spit it out or just be really mad at me and cry! But, he was sooo excited and ate every last bite! He thought it was pretty amusing and kept laughing while taking bites in between! I wish I had a picture to show you but instead we videotaped him. You can tell it's my first time at this because silly me didn't put a bib on him so it was all over his shirt! Every now and then he would bat at my hand which led to the runny cereal falling off of the spoon right onto Micah!

My Baby Boy!
My Baby Boy
he brings so much joy.
Chubby cheeks and chin
and a really great grin.
All of God's grace
in his cute little face.
Even tho' I pray
little he won't stay.
Please don't grow so fast
let these cherished moments last.
Cars, balls, and boats
soon he'll make them float.
Outgrowing all his toys
My Cherished Baby Boy!

I didn't know we had a dog!
March has been such a crazy busy month already between work, Micah, and getting ready to find a new job. Will got accepted into the Ph.D. program at Yale so we are headed back to Connecticut in August. I would love to work in the school again so that I can have the summers off with Micah as well as go home for the summer. We'll see what the future in the next few months holds! I really can't believe January and February are already gone...but the bright side of this is that we will soon have more daylight! And, it will be getting warmer so I can take Micah outside more often. He loves being outside. I took him for a walk in his stroller a couple weeks ago and he just loved staring at everything around him. He has changed so much over the past couple weeks; he babbles some new sounds, rolls back and forth, eats everything in sight, and finally discovered that we do have a dog! He never paid much attention to Annie but once we put him in the Bumbo chair on the floor he started giggling and batting at her nose. Oh, and he learned how to drive!...just kidding. We were taking a break on our drive back from Denver. He does pretty good in the carseat but since he can roll now I think he tends to get a little frustrated strapped down so he did fuss a little...but no matter how much he fusses he just can't resist the temptation to fall asleep in a moving car! Will and I are just so excited every day to see what each day with Micah brings. He brings such joy to all around him. His smiles are so contagious and he is just so kissable! Goodbye for now!
